These
were some of the original shots of the dog formerly known as Chico...
Now - May 25th, 2003, his stainless steel implement is gone and
he has secured a permanent position in his new family.
Dory Tuvim and Judy Meyers have effected not only a complete physical
change in this special dog but most importantly (and impressively,
I might add), a total 180 degree transformation in personality
too!
Asa,
as he is now called, was petrified to the point of completely
shutting down when he was first plucked from the reservation in
a remote area of Vancouver Island. His jaw was severely broken
and his prognosis was very poor. With the never before seen support
of strangers - from as far away as Montreal and New York, the
money was freely given to provide the surgery he needed.
Judy
did the rest. Countless hours of care and attention, patient socialization
and encouragement have released the dog that lay deep inside the
traumatized being.
Now...a
happy, obedient and confident playmate with a knack for causing
the occasional bit of trouble, bounds across pastures and fields.
Reveling, in a life that without the help and support of literally
hundreds of people and in particular the diligent care of Judy
and Dory, would have been extinguished without ever blooming
Too
all of you that helped...Please know that your support truly was
the gift of life and that all of us involved, are lacking in words
to adequately express our deep gratitude.
The
least we can do is provide for you a picture...of what you have
helped to create. Presenting Asa The Healed...
